2020 — 2025
The server is offline for good. This page is what it left behind — and the Discord is still very much alive.
The whole orbit
It started because a kid was bored in a pandemic. It ended five years later with a staff team spread across four countries and a Discord that still hasn’t emptied out.
2020
Born out of sheer boredom during the height of COVID — one server, a handful of friends, and no plan whatsoever. Nobody involved expected it to last the summer.
The first world was a flat survival map on a box in a bedroom, and the name lasted about a year before it needed to sound like something bigger than one person.
2021
A proper name, a proper identity: a magenta gas giant with gold satellites swinging around it. Run as a non-profit under the Gravitor Gaming Foundation — every donation went straight back into keeping the lights on.
The Gravitor Gaming Foundation was the official-sounding wrapper around a very small non-profit: donations in, server bills out, nothing left over.
2021 – 2024
Survival and Skyblock, a forum, a wiki, a store, and a moderation team watching the chat around the clock because it was a server for kids and that mattered more than it was fashionable to admit. Staff in the UK, the Netherlands, Portugal and Brazil, none of whom had ever met.
At its widest the rota covered the UK, the Netherlands, Portugal and Brazil — moderation that worked precisely because nobody was in the same time zone.
2025
Life got busy, as it does. There was meant to be a closing party and there wasn’t time for one — so this is it instead: the last thing Gravitor Network ever shipped.
The last thing the old site ever showed was a broken video player sitting on top of the goodbye letter. This page is the correction.
From the founder · 2025
After 5 years, the journey of Gravitor Network has come to an end. What began in 2020 during the height of COVID became a place full of creativity, friendship, and fun. Over time, we tried many ideas, shared countless adventures, and built a community that meant so much to me.
Life has become very busy these days, and I feel it’s about time to say goodbye. I had hoped to host a closing party to celebrate everything we’ve achieved together, but unfortunately time did not allow for it. Still, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who ever joined the server — you are the reason Gravitor was so special.
Though Gravitor Network is closing, the memories and connections made here will always live on. I wish you all the very best in life, and I hope you carry a little piece of Gravitor with you wherever you go.
